PROGRAM:
 
STABAT MATER OF PERGOLESI
Friday, June 2 at 9:00 p.m.
The opening concert of the festival is a performance of Pergolesi's Stabat Mater, a moving piece of music composed shortly before the composer's death. The Orquestra Nacional Clàssica d'Andorra, conducted by Dani Espasa, will perform this masterpiece of the composer's sacred repertoire. It will also feature Carmela Remigio and Asude Karayvus as soloists. The concert will take place in the Plaça del Consell in Andorra la Vella.
 
TO LIVE / TO DIE
Saturday June 3 at 9:00 p.m.
The second proposal of the festival combines music and performing arts with a musical journey around the essay "Living with our dead" by the French writer Delphine Horvilleur, whose work seeks to turn death into a life lesson for those who remain. The prestigious harpist Xavier de Maistre and the award-winning pianist Lise de la Salle will perform pieces inspired by this theme, while the actress Rossy de Palma, who will perform for the first time in Andorra, will become the voice of the writer. This unique proposal will take us on an emotional journey that shows how music and words can help to heal our wounds. It will take place at the National Auditorium in Ordino.
 
JURASSIC PARK (free admission)
Sunday June 4 at 8:00 p.m.
On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of the premiere of the film "Jurassic Park", the Parc Central of Andorra la Vella will screen the film accompanied by the symphony orchestra of the Kingdom of Aragon (conducted by Josep Caballé-Domenech) who will make us enjoy its soundtrack with live music.
 
VALENTIN DITYUK
Thursday, June 8 at 9:00 p.m.
The fourth proposal comes from the Ukrainian tenor Valentin Dityuk, who will come to the Principality of Andorra to offer us a recital with works by Puccini, Verdi, Donizetti and Rachmaninov that will allow us to understand why he has become one of the most sought-after performers in recent years. This concert will remind us that music and culture must unite us against war and destruction, and that peace must always be our goal. The recital will take place in the gardens of Ràdio Andorra, a concert space with a very special character.
 
ANITA RACHVELISHVILI
Friday, June 9 at 9:00 p.m.
The Ordino National Auditorium will host this spectacular recital with works by Bizet, Saint-saens, Gounod and other great figures of the French repertoire, performed by the renowned Georgian mezzo-soprano, Anita Rachvelishvili. With a successful career on the world's most prestigious stages, such as the Metropolitan in New York, the Vienna Opera and La Scala in Milan, Rachvelishvili has established herself as one of the most outstanding artists in the field of contemporary opera. A unique opportunity to enjoy the talent of one of the best artists of today, accompanied on piano by Vincenzo Scalera.

The ClassicAnd Festival will have a day dedicated to dance on Saturday 10 June, during which it will offer five different open-air performances at the intersection of Av. Meritxell and Av.Riberaygua.
 
MAKOM
Saturday June 10 at 9:00 p.m.
Dance lovers are sure to enjoy the European premiere of the new creation by the Israeli Vertigo Dance Company, one of the most acclaimed contemporary dance companies today. "Makom" is the title of their latest work: a proposal that leaves no one indifferent and deals with roots and land. The performance will take place at the Andorra la Vella Congress Centre.
 
THE JULIET LETTERS BY ELVIS COSTELLO
Sunday June 11 at 9:00 p.m.
The first edition of the Festival ClàssicAnd will come to an end in the Plaça del Consell in Andorra la Vella with the Juliet letters. Elvis Costello and the Brondsky Quartet created this marvel in 1993 as a personal interpretation of classical music after their meeting in London. On the occasion of the 30th anniversary of its publication, the concert will be presented for the first time with the Ulysses Quartet and the voice of Benny Benack III, Emmy-nominated singer and trumpet player and one of the rising stars of the American jazz scene.
